Randy Travis by Jessica Blankenship |
By opening with, "Whisper My Name," fans greeted Randy Travis with cheers and shouts of approval. It would set the pace of hit songs over the years, as well as stories throughout the night. No song was left unturned as full versions were played rather than opting for just snippets of medleys that some legendary performers will do in concerts.
Randy spoke about the 25th anniversary project that he is currently working on, which includes special guest appearances by artists such as Carrie Underwood. He also spoke about performing at the Kentucky State Fair with Alan Jackson in 1991. From that show, they collaborated and wrote "She's Got the Rhythm and I Got the Blues" and "Better Class of Losers."
With a set list of hits that expanded about two hours of entertainment, Randy Travis has excelled as a legendary singer, songwriter, and entertainer.
