New Music Monday: Ashton Shepherd - Look it Up

With a sound full of country sass, Ashton Shepherd is making a comeback with her sophomore album release. The first song off the new album, "Look it Up," will soon be impacting radio. The tune itself is a simple kiss-off to a loved one who cheated, lied, and asked for forgiveness. Before long, the listener is singing the catchy line "I said go, goodbye, get lost, get out, get gone - the word is over, look it up."

Alongside Ashton Shepherd's true blue southern twang, the backwoods sounding guitars, fiddle, and piano fulfills the tune. Coming from a female perspective of telling she is over the husband, many could relate to the tune. Even as he is begging for forgiveness, she has no plans of forgiving the lying, cheating, drunk, and whining man.

"Look it Up" has gained attention by many as it will be impacting the charts soon. Country music fans will enjoy the deep in the heart sound in this modern day Loretta Lynn.

Ashton Shepherd - Look It Up Lyrics
The word is faithful
Look it up
It don't mean sneaking around behind my back
Like you ain't getting enough

How about forever
Just look it up
It means through thick & thin and pitchin in
Even when the times get tough

The word is easy
Look it up
And you'll see a picture of that piece of trash
Riding around in your pickup truck

Let's try liar
Just look it up
But you'll need boots to wade through all the bull
You tell me when you come home drunk

It's just like you to be so clueless
Cause you never thought I'd do this
I said go, goodbye, get lost, get out, get gone
The word is over
Look it up

You said you're sober
Look it up
It's right next to hell freezing over, flying pigs
And all that stuff

How bout baby
Look it up
It's what you called me
And it's how you act every time I called your bluff

Just like you keep denying
Save your whining and your crying
I said go, goodbye, get lost, get out, get gone
The word is over
Look it up

The word's forgiveness
Look it up
It's what Jesus has in store for you
But I don't no matter what
Quit your begging and your praying
Can't you hear what I've been saying
I said go, goodbye, get lost, get out, get gone
The word is over
Look it up

Just look it up
