From Butcher Holler to the White House
Loretta Lynn received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama on Wednesday afternoon.  She was one of 16 people that received the honor, along with Bill Clinton and Oprah Winfrey.  Get complete details of the ceremony here.

From Lexington to NYC
Lexington, Kentucky natives, Fifth on the Floor, have been making a name for themselves.  Recently they played at the House of Blues on Times Square in NYC.  You can catch them when they play at Busters in Lexington on December 14th.  Get more info on them at www.fifthonthefloor.com.

Awesome Possum Fact of the Week:  Back in 1992, Roy Acuff died from congestive heart failure in Nashville and is buried within eight hours. A Grand Ole Opry symbol for over 50 years, the "King Of Country Music" was the first living member inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
